After chicken, turkey is the most popular poultry meat in Germany. Turkey breast can be cooked as a schnitzel or sliced and also tastes very good from the grill. Recipe for au gratin turkey escalope
With this recipe, prepare the turkey schnitzel in the oven, with crème fraîche and au gratin with cheese. Ok, it’s not that low in calories anymore, but very good. The preparation is very fast, you only need about ten minutes. Baking time is 15 minutes.

You need for two people: 2 thin turkey scallops, each about 180 grams (you can also use chicken breast), salt, paprika powder, 200 grams of mushroom slices (can also be frozen), 1 tablespoon pesto, 2 tablespoons crème fraîche, 90 grams of cheese, grated. It can be mountain cheese, Gouda or Emmental, a little butter, a suitable stew or other heat-resistant form

And here’s how to prepare the au gratin turkey: Preheat the oven to 220 degrees (200 degrees for a convection oven). Wash the turkey chops, dry them and season with salt and paprika powder. Place side by side in the pan form.

Lightly salt the mushrooms and spread over the turkey bowls. Mix together the pesto, crème fraîche and cheese and spread over the turkey trays and the mushrooms. Sprinkle slices of butter on top.
Set the turkey trays in the oven in the middle of the shelf and bake for about a quarter of an hour. Take out of the oven, let rest for a while – and serve!
